Review of Last Days (2005) by Lucas M — 13 Mar 2011
When it comes to Cobain "biopics" and indie films in general, this is sheer perfection. It knows the direction it wants to take, the plot is implied rather than spelled out for the audience, the characters are very curious in their own ways, and many parts allow for deep emotional reflection.
It's also filmed very beautifully, turning the bleak landscape of (what I assumed to be) the Pacific Northwest into a work of art. It is THE perfect indie film, in my opinion.
