Review of Kaboom (2010) by Tyler W — 30 May 2011
Saaayyyy WHAT?
Don't compare it to Donny Darko just because it juggles some 'end of the world' stuff with larger themes.
Weird story. Looked weird too. Like, good weird I guess.
Don't hate the story just because of the shitty script. That was the one thing going for it, the story - not so much script and execution wise. It sounded as if some writer was all like "Is this what kids sound like these days? Let's make them all fuck." Adding a cough and a loud "HEEEH?" after that.
Interesting. I'll give them that. This film was messier than his previous one 'Mysterious Skin' with Joseph Gordon Levitt - that one was cleaner, wrapped up nicely - didn't sound so terrible.
Watch both.
I like his style.
SEXY TIME!
Hazzah nudity! Trainspotting did it better through.
