Review of Justice League Dark (2017) by Movie K — 29 Jan 2017
This is definitely a film for fans of the comic book series namesake. Others might have a bit of a hard time wrapping their heads around this movie. That being said...
Matt Ryan IS John Constantine. The movie offers subtle (and not so subtle) nods to the much beloved TV series that made fans fall in love with the actor in the first place. The story is solid and haunting, the first 5 minutes earn the R-rating with some disturbing imagery and concepts. Batman's role in the whole story makes sense, and his ever present disdain towards all things magical will tickle you every time. Cameos from fantastic actors and characters will keep you wondering who you'll see next. It's a movie that takes risks and doesn't hide from them. It's a must see.
