Review of Joy Division (2006) by Stephen C — 07 Oct 2008
Simply brilliant doc on one of the most influential groups to come out of Manchester.
Grant Gee shows us how the musci of the band was developed out of a City which was dying on its feet.
We also get amazing rare footage of the band in Concert and at work with the mad Genius of Martin Hannet.
All the surviving band members give there thoughts along with Tony Wilson,Paul Morley and many others.
And then there is the music which is simply breathtaking and powerful.
An excellent triple Bill Along with Control and 24hR Party people and a film made with passion.
