Review of Johnny Belinda (1948) by Cody F — 11 Apr 2008
I fell in love with Lew Ayres after wacthing this beautiful film and Jane Wyman is just amazing. No wonder she won an Academy Award for her role as Belinda. A truly wonderful, tragic yet ultimately triumphant film.
I do not think a film of its standard could be made nowadays - at least not with the true human sensitivity that comes through from a time of sweetness and innocence.
