Review of Jinnah (1998) by Faaiz I — 14 Aug 2010
This is one of the most inspirational movies I have ever watched. Not is it just a beacon of hope and self empowerment, it is also a reminder of how far off we have gone from what our forefathers had originally dreamed of and worked and sacrificed their lives to create. It fills me with guilt to see what catastrophes we have created for ourselves and put the dreams of our forefathers to shame.
The plot of this movie is incredible, not only does it maintain a neutral perspective, showing Hindus, Muslims and the British in a negative light some part of the film but it also provides us with an admirable perspective of us all. The acting is incredible and special praise goes to Christopher Lee for a magnificent and a solid performance. The film also takes on to a lighter side with occasionally funny remarks and admirable qualities of Jinnah.
This movie is a true masterpiece which no other of its likes can be compared to.
