See this film! It is one of the most simple yet emotional performances I've ever seen on screen by Grard Depardieu. Yves Montand is brilliant as well, and this story is so beautifully redemptive, but only after seeing the sequel will it all make sense.
.. so see it NOW, then see 'Manon of the Spring' as soon as possible afterwards!
