This is simply one of the best movies I've ever seen. The scenery, the cinematography, the script, Gerard Depardieu, there is a great coming together of all elements in this film to tell a story. The story is Biblical in it's humanity, and in the scope of its timeless tale.
Real acting! Real filmmaking! Warning -- it spoils you for modern "blockbuster" movies. You can't fake this stuff. The real thing.
