One of my favorite billy wilder films, it extremely long for a comedy, but shirley maclaine (when she was beginning her career) has got to be one of my alltime favorite actresses and to see her next to jack lemmon who is full of so much spark and enthusiasm.
this isn't wilder's best film (the apartment) funniest film (some like it hot) or most daring film (the lost weekend) it's just candy for the eyes and ears and I really love this movie. i've seen this film about three times, once every year and I think i'll continue the tradition for years to come.
