Review of Irish Jam (2006) by Gabriel C — 03 Jul 2006
Although Eddie Griffin's rap style gets tiring, the idea of this movie is appealing in that it fairly accurately depicts Ireland's coming of age. As the citizens of the tiny village of Ballywood accept and adjust to the idea of having an east LA rapper for the new landlord of their only local pub, so Ireland of today is coming to be more of an international nation. Even as the leading lady falls in love with him, so Ireland is embracing more of the world.
Good scenery, music, and storyline makes this an enjoyable movie. :fresh:
