Review of Infinity Baby (2017) by Anthony B — 27 Mar 2018
If David Lynch and Jim Jarmusch had a baby it would be an infinity baby. This movie is, for better or worse, odd and teeters on a fine line between annoying and amusing. Infinity Baby isn't great or at least not as great as the filmmakers think it is, but that is mainly because they did not have the budget to take full advantage of a premise so inventive it truly made me (someone who wants to be a screenwriter) jealous.
Also, none of the cast is wasted which is refreshing to see in an indie, especially one featuring Kevin Corrigan (Slums Of Beverly Hills, Grounded For Life, etc.) who is one of my favorite actors. Oh and the choice to make the film black and white made sense here, which is also a rarity in indies, especially those made nowadays that contain crazy shit that's never justified because it's easier to call art ambiguous than admit "cool" is all you were going for.
