Review of In the Bedroom (2001) by Erin W — 11 Dec 2006
The best film of it's year and should've swept the Oscars, but the Oscars are bullshit so whatever. The scene with Tom Wilkinson explaining the habitats of lobsters in the very beginning asks as a metaphor for the entire story.
The writing is great and the acting brings it to a perfect level. Todd Field is someone to watch, as Little Children was amazing as well.
