Review of I'm Not There (2007) by Joshua H — 31 Jul 2011
One of the best films of the decade, I'm Not There is a fascinating and different film with a style of its own. It uses quick editing, different actors and time periods, and music to portray the life of Bob Dylan.
I was unfamiliar with Dylan's work before this (what I had heard I didn't like), but through this film, I got a large appreciation for Dylan's work and influence. The best part of this film is the Oscar-nominee Cate Blanchett who portrays Dylan in the 1960s.
She looks, sounds, and acts just like him and her performance (as with every other of her's) is beautiful.
