My favorite role for Jennifer Connelly, who plays knuckle-hardy Kathy in this tragic film about a house owned by her...or by the first-generation Iranian family (Ben Kingsley and Shohreh Aghdashloo) trying to help their son get an education in America.
This movie weeps in tragic moments of well-intentioned decisions that turn into torturous seconds of the main characters' despair and thoughts of letting go. Thoroughly compelling. Worth at least three watches.
