Review of Hot Coffee (2011) by André R — 04 Nov 2011
Interesting yet a bit scary story about how the judicial system and legal rights are taken away from people. Also tells the true story about the McDonalds hot coffee case which turns out to be very different from what we all have read in the papers and seen in the news.
Also interesting to know that the arbitration that everyone agrees to in most contracts uses a judge selected by the company and is paid for by the company. Resulting in that the customer never if ever wins a battle against the company where there is an arbitration.
Also tells the sad story about how corporate money are used to influence the election of judges. An election where the candidate with most money wins 90% of the races.
