Review of Hello Herman (2012) by Charles K — 22 Jun 2013
Not many movies have touched a nerve and left me thinking about them days later like this one did. It raised important and complex issues and unlike simpler, less provocative movies, it didn't wrap up the dilemma with a nice neat explanation and resolution.
Life doesn't come with easy answers tied together with a neat little ribbon. This movie took the risk to explore some of the pressures and some of the ugliness that affect our youth, and society as a whole and it made me reevaluate my ideas of good and evil.
I think it should be required viewing for high school students and I highly recommend it for all audiences over the age of 13.
