Review of Harry Brown (2009) by Worker M — 09 Jan 2011
A bloody B- revenge film masquerading as art house, and thats not necassarily a bad thing because it is pretty consistent in that tone. Once a man's head is blown to pieces just after receiving a blow job (no pun intended actually), I dont see how this film could be viewed as art house.
I have a soft spot for revenge films, and if you prefer your revenge films bloody and low on thought provocation, dont worry, this film will hit the spot. Revenge films with a focus on a message about revenge are boring.
This genre should be a cutting board for mayhem to ensue.
