Review of Griff the Invisible (2011) by Andrew C — 21 Feb 2012
Despite what one might think, this is NOT a superhero movie. It is actually more of a quirky romantic dramedy about a guy who seems to suffer from a social anxiety disorder that has progressed to the point that his mind has created a fantasy world in which he's secretly a superhero with powers of invisibility, and unfortunately is unable to distinguish between what is real and what is not.
His condition makes him awkward around others making it impossible for him to connect with anyone, until he meets his brother's new girlfriend; who shares his unique trait allowing her to see into his world.
Despite what the pea-brained critics thought of this film, I liked like. Maybe it's because I can relate to the character Griff and understand him on some level.
