Review of Fatal Contact (2006) by John B — 02 Mar 2009
Jacky Wu delivers in this punchfest thinly disguised as a melodrama. The fighting and action work best; the drama not so much. Fairly stereotypical characters well acted keeps this HK film interesting and moves at a decent clip.
The main problem is the ending..it simply elicits behavior that is out of character with the main leads (Jacky and Miki) and brings the story to a screeching halt. Watch it for the fights though...fine choreography that will keep you engrossed.
