Review of Exotica (1994) by Jose S — 28 Jun 2010
The first hour starts off with that Egoyan weirdness that lures you in. But when things just keep happening and nothing is drawn together it becomes stale. Then things finally start to reveal themselves and this film never leaves your mind.
The performances are really to be applauded because they're going so far out there. You'll never be in need of a shower more than when Elias Koteas does his DJ shtick at the club. Bruce Greenwood needs more juicy roles and this became very apparent to me while watching this, so good!
