Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Erin T — 04 Nov 2012
This movie sticks with me through the years. Martin Landau is just brilliant all around. The optimism and "through Wood's eyes" storytelling makes it just a fun, giddy movie. Even as my enjoyment for Burton's work wanes through the years, 'Ed Wood' remains a gem.
A note though: this movie is distinctly character driven, and will hang around without much plot movement in favor for a few more personal moments. So don't expect fast-paced; and the not-at-all-with-a-bang ending always leaves me going "Well, dang.
It's over.".
