Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Abbey A — 23 Jul 2010
An inspiring ode to a man that despite questionable skill did what he loved. Ed Wood is a hilarious and heartwarming biopic with a stylish 50s coating. What he lacked as a filmmaker he made up for in enthusiasm and drive and you can't help but cheer for him.
Johnny Depp plays it up with quirky perfection with a kooky cast of oddballs close by his side. It's the film that inspires me to go out and give my camera and I a whirl.
