Review of Eastern Condors (1987) by Jeff B — 15 Feb 2011
I was a bit underwhelmed by this. It's basically a Hong Kong Dirty Dozen and Guns of Navarone. A bunch of prisoners are asked to go on a mission in Vietnam to destroy a bunch of rockets. The set up is good (if you can get past the notion that all the main characters are supposed to be Americans), but I wish the action throughout the movie was better.
The characters are extremely cliched, but at least they're pretty fun. I did really love the ending though, especially the final villain, a scrawny guy with glasses always fanning himself and giggling, of course he has to be an incredible martial artist.
