Review of Disco Pigs (2001) by Jellyfish O — 09 Mar 2010
Mesmerizing, one-of-a kind Irish film. Director Sheridan adopts the poetic elements of Enda Walsh's play and blends these together with hypnotic visuals and an evocative score to a create a haunting movie about love, obsession, separation and connectedness. Whilst possessing a conventional narrative, the film.
Operates on a more mythic level, like a fairytale, and should be approached this way to be truly appreciated.
