Review of Detroit (2017) by David C — 28 Jul 2017
An outstanding job to Kathryn Bigelow. This is one of those movie where you walk out feeling so different. A movie that leaves you emotionally shook. Even the smallest details of the movie will rock your emotions.
The story is told in a way where everyone can easily understand while still leaving you on the edge to see what happens. It shows how the history of the U.S. society has not changed too much and makes you realize the sad reality of how much we have not progressed when it comes to racism.
It does help show how the city of Detroit however has developed and is on its way back to redemption. I'd recommend anyone to go watch it unless you have lived in it cause it would probably be a traumatic experience.
