Review of Days of Glory (2006) by Chris S — 03 Sep 2007
This film not only highlihts the lack of equality and justice for the north africans during the liberation of france, but also how in all war when people think they are fighting for their rights and their freedom they are being complete hypocrytes as it is happening all the time in their own backyard. Definatley worth a watch, and far far better than any of the americanised glory war films. This film shows the reality of real war.
I particuarly liked when the film slowed down, and the shocking events left the characters speechless, they were speechless, and all their emotions could be seen through their eyes without the need for speech. Not often do you see speechlessness portrayed so powerfully in a film.
