Review of Daisy Diamond (2007) by Julius K — 30 Dec 2007
An emotional rape. The gloom of destruction and unrelenting hopelessnes will not be ignored. The brilliant use of close-ups and white walls as background forces the focus entirely on Noomi Nor©ns' power-performance that makes Kidmans' Grace look flat and dull.
To me it was like watching a dear friend descending into the pits of destruction without being able to do anything.
This film have no compromises, no underlying humorous relieve. It's raw, brutal and thought provoking.
