Cyrano De Bergerac. My favorite book... My favorite movie!
I gripe a lot about book-to-movie adaptations because:
- They leave a lot of things out of the film that I liked in the book.
- The actors rarely look and sound like the characters I imagined while reading.
- The movie rarely does justice to the book.
But that was not the case here. Jose Ferrer is perfect as Cyrano and the lines are as beautiful and romantic as that of the play.
