Review of Country Strong (2010) by Amanda H — 06 May 2016

I really didn't think I'd like Gwyneth Paltrow in a movie about music- especially one about COUNTRY music. But since there's not a huge amount of emphasis on singing in this film, it actually works really well.

The movie is well acted and I was particularly impressed with Garrett Hedlund and Tim McGraw. This is a great behind-the-scenes kind of movie that gives a realistic look at the life (and the ups and downs) of a celebrity.

Much better than I expected.
