A film of such exquisite photography and landscape and such understated but truly wonderful performances. A film that truly evokes a desire and a need to be in the place and the time where the film is set.
Without ever creating melodrama, it intrigues a profound interest in the story. A wonderfully executed effort by Rohmer and all involved.
