Review of City of Life and Death (2009) by Vipul U — 25 Sep 2010
One of the Greatest War Movies one can Experience.
Leaves you gasping for Air as the torment of the Citizens of Nanking during the war enfolds in front of you.
One of the most hard hitting war movie that successfully captures the horrors wars and also how heroes emerge from the commons.
A truly riveting movie about the City of Nanking and its Citizens after it falls in 1937 to Japanese. Mentality of Occupation Army towards the defeated army can not be translated better as they treat every Chinese as mere object for their usage.
Its so depressing that it quite a task to watch but trust me its worth the effort.
Totally Recommended.
