Review of Chop Shop (2008) by Jason B — 04 Mar 2008
This is a movie in the best tradition of realism - there is no heavy handed exposition, the story develops at a natural pace, conflict arises organically, and the resolution is fleeting. We don't need to be told where or what is happening - the context becomes apparent through images and dialogue.
The movie is a sparkling example of mastery over the language of film.
