Loved it. The cinematography was sparkling, the songs a joy and the story just perfect. I can't pick out a star performer because they were all super. The car and all the other weird ideas came from a great mind (check out who wrote the story!).
I thought 2 and a half hours for a kids movie would be a bit of a stretch but the story developed so nicely it was just right. There was not a dull or boring moment. I am sure I did not enjoy it this much when I was a kid.
Maybe I will have to revisit more from this era.
