Review of Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972) by Brandon S — 27 Mar 2010
Bob Clark's early zombie film may seem hard to watch for the first half due to bad actors and a pathetic plot, but once the dead rise all hell breaks loose. A group of aspirering filmmakers take a boat ride to some island that houses a cemetery where they play pratical jokes on each other and dabble in black magic.
The "children" which are really a group of 30 and 40 year olds also dig up a corpse and then the ringleader marries him. Odd film seems like Clark was throwing in everything he had, may seem completely pointless for a while, but once the zombies break out you'll get your payoff.
