Review of Carol (2015) by Yang H — 17 Sep 2016
It was no surprise to me that Todd Haynes filming an adaptation of a Patricia Highsmith novel would end up being my favourite film of 2015. This is a film that seems to be targeting me directly. It's everything I love in one package.
This is a meticulously crafted film. All of the elements are restrained on the surface, like it's characters, and hiding depths of emotion.
