Review of Carla's Song (1996) by Codie E — 10 Sep 2008
Following a similar footprint to Land And Freedom, this time adding more of a human connection than a political agenda. Carlyle and Cabezas (unbelievably her only film credit) are brilliant, so commited and passionate in their performances.
Everything a typical Loach film is; a studied script, excellent technicals, true performances and emotionally and politically engaging.
