Peterson is a maniac--this is a conclusion that, as he's portrayed by Hardy, one can reach pretty objectively. The beauty of the whole 90 minute affair is that by the end we come dangerously close to understanding where this guy is coming from.
I could watch Tom Hardy do this all day.
