Review of Broadway Melody of 1936 (1935) by Ken T — 13 Mar 2010
2: Entertaining enough story, but most of the musical numbers definitely leave something to be desired. Powell is great, but I could take or leave much of the rest of the cast. The non-stage musical numbers seem a bit too forced and artificial as well.
I think this series, along with the Gold Diggers series went on for a bit too long.
