Despite attempting to cram the entire storyline into a toned down 2 hour odd movie, it is moderately slow paced.
The direction draws you into the world and fleshes out plenty of detail and in the usual Japanese style, focus on lots of emotion in the action rather than the action itself.
Although the targetted audience is meant to be for younger children there are certain messages that can be caught by the older audience too.
Very nice graphics, over the top music and soundtrack, disappointed only by the rushed ending (else it would end up 3 hours) and apparent boy x boy-ness at the last part.
