An engaging take on a marriage running out of spark/steam, where both parties are at fault. Gosling revels in the role of the drunk and desperate husband. One can almost smell his stale beer-breath on the screen.
Although it is a highly depressing movie, strangely I also see it as a good date movie for mature couples.
