Review of Blancanieves (2012) by Mark B — 12 Sep 2013

Want to hear a bizarre idea for a movie....how about a remake of Snow White as a silent film in black & white and revolving around bullfighting, happy? As much of a recipe for disaster as this sounds, the fact that it feels like an old-timey silent era movie but is beautifully shot and unique makes it work.

The great story beneath the story is well done and the ending (no spoilers) was perfect, I didn't think this could be good, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised.
