'Bellflower' is an ugly, vulgar, grimy mess of a film. But it's filled with such a free spirited energy, it soars above most of the films released in 2011. What starts out as a sloppy love story evolves into a character driven psychodrama which then nose dives into David Lynch territory with ambiguous resolutions and intense hopes for the apocalypse.
