One of the best films I've seen made in the 21st century...Giamatti and Hoffman are equally fantastic in this memoir of a wasted life. Finally a movie where I actually CARE about the characters being protrayed! Giamatti plays Barney Panofsky, a man who in most circumstances you would hate.
But Giamatti's acting is top notch here, and he gives us all a character who stands among the greatest tragic heros in movie cinema...Just watch the film 9.5/10.
