Mixes and parodies movie genres in a coherent and delighting fashion. While it does not shine in any particular genre category, it is passable in each. What makes it excel is the intimacy the audience feels with the characters and the sexual politics between them that generate interest and good laughs at times.
The Duplass brothers are a godsend in a world with big budget action movies that lack heart. They prove that it only takes a few bucks, and a passion, to produce something people can enjoy watching.
