This beautiful gem is up there with The Fifth Element and Serenity when it comes to Sci-Fi action. John Woo's talent of creating fantastic action scenes is one of the many elements of this movie I loved.
The last Appleseed movie they made wasn't bad from an action standpoint, but it was forgettable. I couldn't see a believable relationship between the girl and the bioroid, but in this installment, I felt like they genuinely loved each other.
.. which is hard for me to believe already since they are animated. To be blunt, this movie just looks beautiful. I hope John Woo continues to produce these movies. In fact, I would love to see a Hollywood production like Appleseed: Ex Machina! See this movie!
