Review of Annie Hall (1977) by Laura R — 24 Jul 2013
It's Woody Allen...need I say more? But in all seriousness, Annie Hall is more than just a mere romantic comedy. The relationship between Alvy Singer and Annie Hall is one filled with insightful and quirky dialogue alongside dynamic characters that capture the audience's attention immediately.
With constant use of flashbacks, inner thoughts and even direct interactions with the viewers, the film becomes a unique and fresh experience! The atmosphere is kept light but you can't help but become emotionally involved as perplexed Alvy reminisces their rocky relationship for just what went wrong.
