Review of ...And God Created Woman (1956) by Peter A — 02 Dec 2008
Roger Vadim's debut movie is a turgid and boring affair. The story of the love triangle that ends in disaster with Bardot at the centre is told in such a laconic way you could fall asleep halfway through and not have missed anything come the final scenes.
Even the frequent glimpses of a naked Bardot is not enough to keep the interest up. Her frequent pouting and expressionless eyes do little to enhance characterisation in the way that say Marylin Monroe could do.
I need to see a decent movie soon. Fed up with rubbish.
