Review of Afterschool (2009) by Alex A — 21 Aug 2013
Afterschool is an ambituous debut for writer/director Antonio Campos (who was only 24 when he made this movie) with impressive technical features and solid performances from a stellar ensemble cast, but its light on story and thematically shallow which brings the film to the verge of pointlessness.
It's clear that Campos has talent, but if he want's to fully realize it he'll have to write better scripts for his future projects to compliment his directorial skill.
