Review of A Day Off (1968) by Thomas P — 22 May 2009
Movies from the 30's are almost a genre in themselves as only this decade produced movies of this kind. Not quite a screwball comedy, but rather a more thoughtful film about outsiders finding a kindred spirit in one another.
Beautifully performed and, for my money, a cut above The Philadelphia Story. Movie heaven!
