Review of A Christmas Story 2 (2012) by Robert I — 26 Dec 2013

Let's be honest, this could've been much worst. Not even close to being anything like the original... But it is a functional film. The new Ralphie is quite terrible in the role, Daniel Stern makes some terrible acting choices himself... But I was amused for the 85 minutes. Ralphie is older, desires a car, likes girls, and has to get a job. The adult burdens are a welcome change, but despite the added maturity, Ralphie is still written like he's a young kid in some scenes - which makes him appear extremely stupid.

Anyway, as schlock holiday cash-ins go, I've seen worse.
